I took my Jeep in with a SIMPLE clutch problem. Pick up. Go to store. I go to back out of my parking space it won’t go into reverse at all, as if i was trying to shift into gear WITHOUT the clutch! I knew it was a clutch problem: pedal feels spongy, loss of travel, reverse only grind. Signs of air in the clutch hydraulic system. And umm, there’s also the fact that it was shifting fine before they worked on it. I take it back. WEEK later, NO CHANGE. I tell my girlfriend I’m going to fix it and take it back and confront them. I kid you not, I reverse bleed it, 30 minutes, shifting BEAUTIFUL! I ask my girlfriend to come with and listen so she could hear this! I told her that I was going to go over with them the problems with the clutch: soft pedal, loss of pedal travel etc. Then ask him if he was sure it was the transmission. If so, I wanted to have them rebuild it for the $2000 they quoted me. With my girlfriend listening, they told me my synchros in my tranny were going out, and that the new clutch was putting “pressure” on my transmission and it won’t shift into reverse!! The OWNER, and BOTH of the guys that work in the office, same story. At this point I tell them I bleed the clutch and it shifts great. They claim 3 mechanics looked at it. Interesting. It was laughably easy to fix. I informed them I also know that reverse has no synchro. Mark starts stuttering and says “well let me get you the owner”. The owner checks out the clutch and says they “made a mistake”. Really? I don’t believe that for a second. Phil said he has 27 years experience. There’s 8 mechanics in the shop. With Phil’s experience and the cumulative experience of every mechanic in his shop, they couldn’t figure out how to bleed a clutch? We caught them red handed. My gf heard every word. You should of heard 'em all blubbering when I told them reverse has no synchro and I fixed it myself in the driveway! HA! Phil, YOU are a LIAR and a CROOK! You should be out of business.

Thanks, Brian for the bashing. It's well deserved. We Made a mistake. I told you this and admit it. 2 technicians spent hours bleeding the clutch, we even tried different manufactures parts to get a better pedal. Unfortunately after several hours of working on what should be a simple thing This was the best we were able to achieve. The original parts were no longer available for your older Jeep, thus requiring to use aftermarket. How you were successful in 30 minutes is unclear. I'm glad it worked out for you. You made a comment that we were going to F**K you, I assured you this was not the case. We would never had charged you for work not needed. Obviously by this upset review we have probably lost you as a customer. I asked you if there was anything I could do to make up for the mistake and inconvenience. I dont know what else to do for you at this point, just know we do value you as a customer and hope to regain your trust. Sincerely Phil, and Litchfield Auto Repair

I hate going to auto shops but this place made me believe that good honest people still exist. Took in one of our older vehicles that failed emissions. After they ran a diagnostic test they recommended a free alternative that would hopefully solve the issue. Well it worked and they did not charge us a signal penny. Now they have earned my business and I will be making another appointment for my other car ASAP.

I came here because my engine light came on and I wanted to get it taken care off. After reading the many positive reviews, it is clear why they are honest. They have definitely earned my trust. I will be returning as a customer for future problems with my vehicles. Thank you!!!

Going to a new mechanic always makes me nervous. I came here because of the great reviews I read and I must say, this place did not disappoint. I submitted a service request on their website and within 15 min I got a call back to schedule an appointment. I was able to get in just a couple of days later. The waiting area is nice and the woman that greeted me was friendly. It only took about 20-30 minutes after they took my van back for them to diagnose the issue and give me a quote. I spoke with Mike and he was extremely friendly and efficient. He had a price breakdown ready and explained what was absolutely necessary that day. What pleasantly surprised me the most is the price they quoted me was significantly cheaper (by hundreds of dollars) than where I had gotten a quote prior. I felt like through the whole process they kept me informed and were honest. I even made my next appointment while at the last one to have the rest of the repairs done. It is such a relief to finally find a good, HONEST mechanic.

This place found my issue with my car within an hour or two of dropping it off and had it done before I went to work, amazing service and they were so fast too. I had dropped my car off at multiple shops before and they'd hold my car for days at a time only to tell me their guesses on what it could be (800-2,000 dollar guesses) I'm glad that I was recommended to this place

Needed my ignigition replaced and shifter looked at , made an appointment was helped right away by Mark who was very friendly , gave me no run around said he would try to replace the key first then go from there , I knew that would not work but I thank them for trying , they told me the shifter needed to be replaced also because it's tied in with the ignigition which I figured anyway the button kept popping out , $550 for both seemed very reasonable even my brother in law who is a auto mechanic on the east side said that was not bad at all , everyone there is very friendly from Jenni who answers the phone to the techs , will definitely be back here for furtue repairs on my 05 Saturan Vue , will also recommend to friends and family, good job guys Thanks

Hellooooooo, I'm another 'First Timer" at "Litchfield Auto Repair". I brought in my 2001 Ford f150 pickup, the AC had quit on me a while back, but at that time, I was not able to get it repaired. New to Goodyear Az. I needed to find a new mechanic, and like a lot of you, I too, came to yelp to search. So here I am. I work such long hours, so I had to set things up on the phone. Dropped my truck off on a Sunday night, put my keys in the "Night Drop", and waited to hear form them on Monday. So Monday came, Talked to Mike, he said it was a mess, which I knew, and I said lets fix it. My truck was stubborn, it made them really work hard, but I now have a very chilly truck, and me and my wife are so very happy! GREAT communication at all times!! They called me with updates, kept me in the loop of what was going on, very important to me. They gave me a quote and stuck to it. Glad to be a new customer!! I give "Litchfield Auto Repair" a very big "Woo Hoo"! Thanks again to Mike and Phil.

I recently had my first experience with this auto repair shop and can tell you that they are the most honest auto repair shop I have ever done business with. I recently went to have my emissions test done and was surprised when I was told that I failed. I was not given much information as to why and was told that the area that they "plug" into to obtain the computerized info on my car was not working. I was told I could go to AutoZone to see if it was just a fuse problem and have the fuse replaced. After 1 hour of standing outside in the heat with the AutoZone rep reading through my owner's manual, I decided to just take it to the Nissan Dealer where I originally bought the car. When I got there they told me I would have to make an appointment a week out and that it would cost $150 for them to just "look at my car" to find out what was wrong. I finally decided to do a Google search on a nearby auto shop, which was how I discovered Litchfield Auto Repair. I noticed they had good reviews so I called and made an appointment. When I went to the appointment, I was greeted and waited in a comfortable waiting room while they looked at my car. Within about 10 minutes the problem was fixed and my car was ready to go. The mechanic explained to me that the plug had just been pulled out and for some reason whoever pulled it out, didn't push it back in. He not only fixed the problem but he also filled out my emissions paperwork and didn't charge me a penny! I am so grateful because he could have easily charged me and told me any number of things were wrong with my car and because I am not very knowledgeable in auto repair matters I probably would have paid whatever they asked so I could get my car fixed and pass emissions. It's really refreshing to find an auto repair shop with integrity. I will definetly use and recommend them in the future and I know that when I do, I will get professional service, fair treatment, and an honest price. Thank You Litchfield Auto! I passed my emissions test and now have 1 less thing to worry about.
