Paid $60 for them to look at my car, all I got are OBD2 codes. They wanted me to pay another $250 to look into the codes? What’s next? How much more do I need to pay to get any repair estimates? I have my own OBD2 scanner, costed me less then $60. I will not go back.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. To be clear we charge a $59 inspection fee. This is not to just "code read". We inspect your vehicle and that does include gathering codes. However due to how complex vehicles have become and how technology from one manufacture to another is so different we now have to "inspect" the vehicle. Many people confuse this as a simple code read. A "code read" is a tool for diagnostic. It's also a gimmick from auto parts stores. They will perform a "free code read" and then provide you with a list of parts to purchase. Great sales approach. In some cases it works. Thru the process of elimination or maybe your vehicle has a code that is very specific thus making it easy to guess. We dont ever know until an inspection is performed. When we "pull codes" its with an actual diagnostic scan tool. This means we may get even more codes than the generic OBD II codes your code reader gives. This is why we have to "inspect" every vehicle. Sometimes its obvious and quick as to what the problem is and other times there could be multiple codes and multiple issues to address. To be fair to our customers we dont play the game of throw parts at it like an auto parts store. Were here to fix your vehicle, thats the "service" part of our business. We charge a very small fee for this service and it insures that both us and our customer can be on the same page before proceeding. It seems to be the only fair way to do this as different vehicles and different problems all have such different costs. We would not want to charge you for a full diagnostic up front to find the last guy who changed your vehicles oil left something loose and it was a quick and easy thing. And believe me this happens a lot. I would very much appreciate to earn your trust and your business. Please call me to discuss (623) 882 - 8700. My name is Phil. Thank you
